If you have questions pertaining to gynecologic issues, be sure to check this area for information. Often, many of your questions will be answered here and this can give you some guidelines as to when to call the doctor or go to the emergency room. As in all cases, if you are having an emergency, proceed to the emergency room or call 911 immediately!

There is a vaccination for HPV and it is recommended girls and women between the ages of 9-26 have the vaccination. Older women may have the vaccine, as well, but insurance may not cover it. It is given in a series of three injections at 0, 2, and 6 months. Finally, HPV is a complex subject and much can be discussed regarding this interesting virus.
